As Schridde puts it,
“It's not just about the food, it's about the entire experience."

About us

Mimi's Bistro in Grosse Pointe Park is a charming 44-seat restaurant scratch kitchen café, and bakery specialising in breakfast and lunch all day. A namesake for owner Melanie Schridde's German great-grandmother, Mimi's proudly offers an elegant dining experience in an easygoing European-inspired atmosphere.

Everything on Mimi's menu is seasonal and made from scratch. Additionally, Mimi's uses organic ingredients that are sourced (whenever possible) from local purveyors. “I want to serve the meals your grandmother used to make. But in an environment that feels polished and playful,” says Schridde.

The menu offers a well-curated offering of American and European fare, not to mention delicious weekly specials. (There's even a few of Mimi's old recipes on there too!)

Sundays at Mimi's offers breakfast all day and the first Sunday of every month traditional German coffee and cake.

Things to come

Cooking classes and a boutique to-go market that will offer à la carte pre-prepared meals and pre-packaged specialty sauces. Perfect take-home dinner options for the healthy mom on the go!

More than a restaurant, Mimi's is committed to being active in the community and looks forward to being able to give back and collaborate.

Most items on Mimi's menu can be customized for those on vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, low fat and/or heart-smart diets.
